Live Free Die Free Single Release September 19, 2021

Live Free Die Free is a single release from Patriotic songs I've written that will be released as
singles. Live Free Die Free was written to promote Patriotism, unite the American people and the
World to fight for their freedom, which is the most important aspect of life on earth.

I originally recorded this to be around 3 minutes long, with Guitar, Bass, Drums, Synthesizer and
multi-track vocals to simulate a choir. After listening to it, I decided in order to get the
"message" out front, I had to record it as an a cappella and make it 1 minute 12 seconds. There's
an opening chord and an ending chord.

*Note - a cappella - In referring to singing unaccompanied by instruments, the traditional spelling
is the Italian one, a cappella: two words, two Ps, two Ls. In this case, people can focus on the
lyrics "the message" without interruption from musical instruments.

How it was done - I did a straight forward recording in my barn.  I used my Boss VE-20 with
added Echo/Delay, Harmony and Reverb direct into a Zoom H2N portable recorder. I wanted this
to be an organic release and opted to go with the straight up recording as is. Why? - The message
is more important than a perfect vocal performance.  It is common practice, at live shows and in
the studio, for singers to alter their actual voice using mastering magic. I didn't want to do this
for Live Free Die Free. For future releases, I have plans for some vocal processing to achieve
certain effects and mood within the songs. For those of you with amazing voices that can sing
anywhere at a moments notice . . . . You bring joy and happiness to the world with your voice :)

Thank you for stopping by !  ~ Mark ~
Opening and closing chords were done
with a 2016 Fender American Professional Stratocaster (Ash body) and the Fender Rumble Studio 40 Bass amp.
